CVSA’s Brake Safety Week Scheduled for Aug. 23-29

Brake Safety Week is a seven-day focused inspection and enforcement initiative designed to improve safety by ensuring commercial motor vehicles on our roadways are operating with properly maintained and functioning braking systems.

Certified commercial motor vehicle enforcement personnel utilize the out-of-service criteria to determine whether or not drivers or vehicles present an imminent hazard and should be placed out of service.

CVSA Now Accepting Applications for College Scholarship Awards

CVSA will award $5,000 college scholarships to two outstanding high school seniors based on the strength of their application and supporting materials, academic performance, volunteer work, community service and extracurricular activities.

CVSA’s International Roadcheck Scheduled for May 12-14

From May 12 to 14, enforcement personnel throughout North America will inspect commercial motor vehicles and commercial motor vehicle drivers for compliance with vehicle, cargo and driver regulatory requirements as part of CVSA’s 72-hour inspection, enforcement and data-collection initiative.

CVSA Releases 2025 Brake Safety Week Results

Inspectors in 52 jurisdictions throughout North America conducted 15,175 commercial motor vehicle inspections with a focus on brake systems and components for Brake Safety Week, Aug. 24-30.

CVSA Releases 2025 International Roadcheck Results

Commercial motor vehicle enforcement personnel in Canada, Mexico and the U.S. conducted 56,178 commercial motor vehicle, driver and cargo inspections on May 13-15 as part of CVSA’s 72-hour International Roadcheck inspection, enforcement and data-gathering initiative.
