| Mesures prises par le comité | The photos that were submitted were agreed to be failure and a separation. It is a bead separation in the tire siewall. Before progressing to the exten shown in the picture, it will have created a bump, bulge or knot. If the failure is probed there will be ample evidence of exposed and broken cord. Because it is a separation that has advanced to failure, items 10.a.(5) and 10.b.(4) apply. Probing and finding the exposed cord could also bring OOS items 10.a.(3) and 10.b.(2) or (3) into play. Since items 10.b.(2) or (3) require both tires in a dual set to have the problem, it would be preferable to use OOS item 10.b.(4) when this condition is found on a tire in a dual set. |
