| Mesures prises par le comité | The vehicle committee discussed that there is no regulatory requirement for this on trucks. However, there is regulation related to this issue for buses. The vehicle committee felt that there is no imminent hazard condition that warrants this in the OOS in relation to trucks. However, based on the fact that there is a regulatory requirement for buses, it was determined that this issue would be transferred over to the Passenger Carrier Committee for consideration specific to passenger vehicles. Passenger Carrier Committee reviewed RFA. Discussion on regulation. No supporting data. Committee felt that the lack of drive shaft protection was not a imminent hazard. 393.89 is proper cite for drive shaft protection that is observed loose, broken or missing bolts. No action taken. Closed. |
