Demande d’action

Modifier l'OOSC.

Mesures prises par le comité

The committee was concerned that implementing the two changes would impact trucks the way they are and a broken sway bar on a truck is not an imminent hazard. Also, as a result of stone hits, air bag supports are often found with small pieces missing and this is not a hazard.

Given that the suggestions did not appear appropriate for trucks. Due to lack of justification material called for in the Ops Policy 7, the issue was sent back to the PCC committee to provide material relating to crash statistics, technical analysis, new technologies or a need for redefinition or clarification.

Sway bars were eventually added to the OOS but air bag bellows were not.
