Each year, CVSA asks its member jurisdictions to capture and report data on a category of violations during International Roadcheck. This helps bring awareness to certain aspects of a roadside inspection.
This year, International Roadcheck will have two focus areas: one related to hazardous driving behaviors and the other pertains to critically important vehicle violations discovered on commercial motor vehicles.
International Roadcheck will focus on tractor protection systems and controlled substance and alcohol possession or use. For inspections in the U.S., there is an additional emphasis on prohibited drivers within the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
To help drivers and motor carriers prepare for this year’s International Roadcheck, CVSA created an informational flyer on this year’s focus areas.
