| Medidas adoptadas por el comité | Three underlying principles were noted: The notations of the FMCSR codes in the NA OOSC are for reference only. They mean nothing in Canada or Mexico. A citation relating to inoperable systems is unnecessary for placing a vehicle OOS. Reference to the criteria itself is enough. ASPEN entry codes are reference, not citing codes. There was discussion of the lighting OOS criteria and the references that go with it. The decision made then was that 393.9 is the proper citation for inoperable turn signals and 393.11 is the section to quote if the signals are missing. Following that logic the committee decided to add (393.9 - inoperable) to 6.a.(1),(2),(3) and 6.b.(1) just as it is in the 6.b(2) |
