Led by CVSA Level VI Inspection Specialist Carlisle Smith, this session is for CVSA-certified Level VI inspectors only. This eight-hour refresher course is offered by the CVSA Level VI Inspection Program and its completion meets CVSA’s maintenance of certification requirement for Level VI certified inspectors as outlined in the CVSA Operations Manual. Note: Pre-registration is required for this session. 

This training session will guide you through the verification process for hazard communication and packaging requirements for corrosive materials and provide you background information to improve safety while inspecting these materials. 

Led by COHMED leadership, this session is for first-time attendees to the COHMED Conference. Attendees will be introduced to COHMED leadership and given a brief history of the COHMED Program.

This training session will provide current guidance on Part III of the CVSA North American Standard Out-of-Service Criteria. 

This training provides you with a current review of the applicability and limits of the materials of trade exception in 49 CFR § 173.6 detailing how to verify compliance with shipments made within this exception. 

This course takes the pressure off when it comes to understanding cylinder regulations in the United States and Canada. Using the U.S. Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMRs) and Canadian TDG Regulations and standards, the course will break down how the regulations are organized and how inspectors can use them to identify applicable requirements. Topics will include cylinder selection, specifications and markings, materials and capacities, and cylinder testing and inspection requirements. The course will also highlight common symbols and markings inspectors may encounter and provide a practical foundation for understanding cylinders under pressure on the side of the road.
