CVSA will hold its Industry Roadside Inspection Course – Driver Requirements in Conley, Georgia, on Oct. 22-26. Conley is a 20-minute drive from the Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). This will be the final industry course of 2018.
Offered exclusively to members of the motor carrier industry, the focus of the training will be on all regulatory driver-related roadside requirements and out-of-service conditions. This course includes information on regulatory definitions, intrastate vs. interstate operations, commercial driver’s license (CDL) and driver qualification requirements, hazardous materials, hours-of-service rules, annual inspections on commercial motor vehicles and the DataQ filing process.
This course is intended to provide industry with the necessary training to better understand the roadside regulatory requirements. The goal of the training is to provide each carrier with the tools and knowledge to achieve compliance with the roadside safety regulations and a better understanding of the relationship between regulatory requirements and out-of-service conditions.
The deadline for registration is Friday, Oct. 19.
