| Issue Name | OOSC, Part IV, Item 4. US Federal Out-of-Service Orders - FCMSA OOS Types |
| Summary of Issue | I would like to request the "7 FMCSA OOS Types" chart be added to the OOSC. This would help to show if a company has a federal OOS, if it applies to Intrastate as well as Interstate commerce. |
| Justification or Need | There have been a few issues where an intrastate carrier was placed OOS when that OOS Type only applied to interstate. I believe that if this table was added, it would minimize confusion and wrongful OOS's. |
| Request for Action | I would request the "7 FMCSA OOS Types" chart be added below the Federal OOS Order chart in Part IV, page 77. See attached for my proposed version. |
| Action Taken by Committee | Some states already have rule adoption language in place that make Federal OOS applicable to interstate and intrastate carriers. Adding this additional language/chart could cause confusion and issues with individual states. |
