U.S. House of Representatives Begins Discussions on FAST Act Reauthorization
The U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure began discussions on a reauthorization of the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act, with a Members’ Day hearing. During the hearing, members discussed what they felt should be the top priorities of the committee. Additionally, committee members submitted letters outlining their priority areas for a FAST Act reauthorization.

CVSA Meetings with Congressional Offices Continue
CVSA staff continues to meet with congressional offices to discuss CVSA, the needs of the law enforcement community and commercial motor vehicle safety. Within the commercial motor vehicle space, automated driving systems, fatigue, exemptions, commercial driver’s license age requirements, HOS and Electronic Logging Devices are common topics of interest on Capitol Hill.
