On Feb. 26, CVSA submitted comments for the record of the Feb. 12 U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure’s Subcommittee on Highways and Transit’s hearing, “America Builds: A Review of Programs to Address Roadway Safety.” The hearing offered an opportunity for members to engage with industry stakeholders to better understand current roadway safety programs and improvements that can be made in the upcoming surface transportation reauthorization. CVSA’s comments offered recommendations related to driver behavior and fatigued driving, safety technology and improvements to administration of grant programs.
