The fall 2024 North American Cargo Securement Harmonization Public Forum is scheduled for Nov. 7 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
During this public forum, stakeholders will discuss cargo securement regulations in pursuit of developing and implementing uniform regulatory requirements for the securement of cargo on or within commercial motor vehicles throughout North America.
The North American Cargo Securement Harmonization Public Forum continues efforts begun by the Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators (CCMTA) in 1993 when it approved funding and management for research designed to update and improve cargo securement standards. Subsequently, CCMTA’s initial research and standards were completed, and the effort was expanded with support from the United States. Today, on an ongoing basis, Canadian and U.S. regulators and other constituents participate in this forum to identify and, where appropriate, address cargo securement issues for potential implementation in an internationally harmonized standard.
The deadline for hotel reservations is Oct. 4. The deadline to register for the forum is Oct. 28.
