    The CVSA Size and Weight Committee is hosting a symposium to explore state-of-the-art weigh-in-motion (WIM) technology used for safety enforcement. CVSA previously held a similar one-day WIM workshop in 2015; however, since then, advances have occurred in WIM technology, and safety enforcement agencies in North America and abroad have gained additional experience using WIM for enforcement. We will use this event to present lessons learned and discuss WIM enforcement implementation issues. WIM technology will also be on display at the exhibit hall for further exploration.

    Hazardous Materials Room D5, Mississippi Coast Convention Center The Hazardous Materials Committee provides technical expertise related to the transportation of hazardous materials/dangerous goods in an effort to reduce incidents and encourage uniformity and consistency in the application of regulations.
    Policy and Regulatory Affairs Room D12, Mississippi Coast Convention Center The Policy and Regulatory Affairs Committee develops the Alliance's policy positions and implementation strategies for the agency/department leaders responsible for the coordination and oversight of commercial motor vehicle safety and enforcement programs. The committee also serves as a forum for international regulatory harmonization discussions.
