The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and CVSA are proud to bring three days of system-wide training to state partners who report inspection and crash records to support FMCSA and state safety programs. This training brings states together to share data quality stories and solutions. Participants will experience the synergy that happens when peers problem solve together. The training reinforces the federal and state commitment to reporting quality data. The next CVSA/FMCSA Data Quality and Systems Training is scheduled for March 4-6, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri.
State inspection and crash reporting efforts are vital to the success of state commercial motor vehicle safety improvement endeavors and to FMCSA’s data-driven safety programs, which prioritize resources for the greatest impact on large truck and bus safety.
The training will:
- Provide you with ways to effectively use FMCSA’s systems to report accurate and complete crash and inspection data. These systems include, but are not limited to: SAFETYNET, DataQs, A&I Online, MCMIS and the Portal.
- Recommend peer-tested tips and tricks to support your data quality improvement efforts.
- Emphasize comprehension and the ability to apply what is learned, including technical information, live system demonstration, and hands-on exercises from both State and Federal practitioners.
- Demonstrate how understanding available systems and reporting quality crash and inspection data directly influences FMCSA’s mission of improving large truck and bus safety on the Nation’s roads.
