The spring 2018 North American Cargo Securement Harmonization Public Forum is scheduled for 1-5:30 p.m. at the Pavilion West Ballroom on the plaza level of the Hilton Portland Downtown in Portland, Oregon. The forum is held in conjunction with the CVSA Workshop.

The North American Cargo Securement Harmonization Public Forum is open to all stakeholders to voice issues/concerns with the cargo securement regulations in pursuit of developing and implementing uniform regulatory requirements for the securement of cargo on or within commercial motor vehicles throughout North America. The mandate of this public forum is to identify cargo securement regulatory issues and differences; identify inconsistencies in the application of cargo securement enforcement policies; review reports on research findings, securement equipment and new technologies related to cargo securement; submit reports on the activities, actions and outcomes of the forum to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and the Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators (CCMTA); and provide FMCSA and CCMTA officials with the opportunity to provide status reports or updates on previously identified issues.
